This is a blog for posting information, expressing how you feel and perhaps coming up with a course of action to address the work environment at the Port Authority Law Department. I, for one, believe that the lawyers at the Port Authority, for the most part, are among the most talented and they follow in a long tradition of professionalism, hard work and accomplishment. The current Law Department management has never been part of this tradition and seems bent on destroying it through bad management. The bad management is reflected in the reorganization, taking hard working, successful attorneys working in their areas of expertise, sometimes for decades, and transferring them to work in areas that are new to them. It continues with imposition of work rules that reduce attorneys to hourly employees required to punch in and out.
Speak out on this blog. Share your views. It's your first amendment right and, who knows, maybe it will lead to some positive changes.

I happened upon this Blog remembering its start in 2008. I have since retired and I am living well, thank you.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is out there, which I doubt, the PA Law Dept is f'ed up. It went political in 2003, thank you Jeff, and when I left it was being run by NY Democratic Apparatchik with everything he touched turning to shit and a bi-polar psychopath.
Anyway, life is good. I am sure noone will read this and it is not important.
I just regret the loss of the good reputation the PA Law Department had prior to 9/11.

Amen. I concur. It's truly a shame.
